It is the country‘s oldest arts school with a tradition spanning more than 130 years. The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts
LIPA opened in 1996. It is dedicated to people who want to enter - and survive - the tough world of arts and entertainment, whether as performers or those who make performance possible.
It took about £20m and five years' effort to create LIPA from the ground up. The result is a range of unique courses and a cultural centre with world class facilities.
We offer diploma, degree and postgraduate courses. We also offer Saturday performing arts classes for 4 - 19 year olds and a wide range of part-time and full-time courses. We are committed to developing innovative ways to assist disadvantaged people into entrepreneurship in the creative sector. LIPA is also a place where you can come and see shows.
