Boat Cruise

The Boat Cruise has a long tradition within the Rose d’Or Festival. The cruise offers a great opportunity to meet fellow delegates, to network in relaxing surroundings and to enjoy the picturesque mountain scenery while sailing across world-famous Lake Lucerne.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Festival, the boat cruise is heading for a special destination. After a one-hour cruise across Lake Lucerne to the tiny village of Kehrsiten, the journey continues on the famous 132-year old cable car to Mount Bürgenstock, a place of international renown. Stars like Sophia Loren, Audrey Hepburn, Sean Connery and Charlie Chaplin went there to enjoy the peaceful environment and recreation. At the Bürgenstock Palace Hotel, a buffet lunch and drinks will be ready, and there will be time to appreciate the resort’s pleasures. Buses will return guests to Lucerne.

In 2009, the Boat Cruise took place under perfect blue skies and warm weather, and we hope for more of the same in September 2010!
