EXCITING NEWS: the deadline for submitting your entries to the Rose d’Or Awards 2016 has been extended!
You now have an extra two weeks to perfect and finalise your submissions into the world’s most prestigious entertainment awards event. The deadline is now 15 June 2016.
Obviously we want as many of your great programmes represented as possible. Two extra weeks will hopefully give you the extra time needed to register and upload your programmes.
“The Rose d’Or Awards celebrate excellence in entertainment programming,” said EBU Head of Television Jeroen Depraetere.
“We want to make sure that the very best shows from around the world are showcased in Berlin in September so we’re extending the deadline to give you more time to put together the best package for our judging panels to evaluate.”
“The Rose d’Or awards are the awards that programme makers aspire to most because they symbolize the pinnacle of success for entertainment programming and have done so now for over 50 years,” Depraetere added.
One of last year’s winners for Best Radio Entertainment Event– Dutch broadcaster NPO - said “Winning the Rose d'Or is a fantastic reward for the Radio 2 team that built the Top2000 as a national Dutch event from 1999 onwards. The Dutch audience gave the first massive recognition for the format, the Rose d 'Or completes our success. It was a great honour to be part of the ceremony last year.”
With a total of 11 categories, the Rose d’Or awards cement their status as the biggest and most influential entertainment awards event. The broad selection of categories for television, online and radio include Arts, Reality & Factual, Game Show, Comedy, Sitcom, and Entertainment. 2016 also sees two new categories added reflecting the current golden era of Drama and the rise in popularity of Audio Stories.
