We have a record number of entries. We have a masterclass featuring one of the top executives in the news industry. And we have one of the world’s most iconic venues. The Rose d’Or 2015 promises, yet again, to be the event to attend in the European entertainment calendar. And tickets are now on sale for the event on Wednesday, December 9th.
With 377 television and 82 radio entries competition has never been so fierce across the Awards’ 11 categories to be announced on December 9th at the Clore Centre in the British Museum in London.
The award ceremony will be preceded by an exclusive master class with Daniel Ravner the CEO of Practical Innovation. Ravner was previously Head of Digital at Armoza Formats, Head of Content at The Box and Creative Director of Screenz. Practical Innovation creates ventures that merge new and established media, mostly with business development in mind. It also provides hands on consulting for entities like the TV format fund and The Format People, as well as interactive formats for Showbox, provides training worldwide, and is a partner in ventures like the second screen app TheCouch. “The digital shift is the single biggest change we will get to experience in our lifetime, if you run your TV business roughly the same way you did six years ago, then you are probably missing out on some opportunities”, says Ravner. “The key is to avoid the view of “digital” as just another venue for marketing or distribution. Digital extends our world exponentially, it’s an “emerging market” at our fingertips. The financial opportunity is vast but getting there is the key creative challenge the TV industry has to face.”
In March 2012 Daniel was elected by leading business magazine Globes as one of the “40 most promising people under 40 in the Israeli business world”.
Seating for the workshop is limited, and with more top-level entertainment industry executives expected to be announced shortly, you will want to register early...and quickly!
