The Rose d’Or Awards has announced the key dates for its 2026 edition, with entries opening in May and the international screen and audio awards ceremony set to return to King’s Place, London in November.
Producers, directors, creators, broadcasters, platforms and distributors from around the world are invited to enter their best work across a range of categories celebrating excellence in television, digital and audio storytelling.

2026 Rose d’Or Awards categories
Drama– scripted series or one-off dramas involving characters in various situations. A main plot can be resolved within a single episode or over a series.
Comedy Drama and Sitcom – scripted comedy series or one-off dramas, involving regular characters in various situations.
Soap or Telenovela – multi-episode popular drama or melodrama, either on-going or limited run.
Factual Entertainment and Reality – programmes or series in which a situation or topic is treated or created through real people or which tell their story by following real-life characters. Except Competition Reality.
Competition Reality – competition reality can encompass everything from survival to talent searches. At its core, there is a winner – on location or in studio.
Studio Entertainment – including but not limited to variety shows, talk shows, panel shows, event series and specials.
Comedy Entertainment – scripted and non-scripted comedy shows including sketch shows, panel, improvisation, clips, comedy specials and stand-up. Series or single programmes.
Documentary – factual programme or series providing in-depth analysis of a specific subject or point of view supported by evidence and informed commentary, on any subject other than the Arts.
Arts – programmes or series featuring performing arts and cultural programmes, stage recordings and television adaptations of performing arts or documentaries dedicated to art forms or artists.
News and Current Affairs – for an exceptional individual programme, series or coverage of a specific news event. The award is intended to recognise every aspect of coverage including journalistic enterprise, quality of reporting and innovation in programme production.
Children and Youth – all genres produced for children and youth will be considered. Either Series or single programmes.
Multiplatform Series – original fiction or non-fiction video series, that premiered on social, web, mobile and video platforms. Consideration will be given to those entries that demonstrate an original use of new platforms, interactivity and audience impact or educational outreach.
Audio – scripted or unscripted original podcast, audio-first books and radio shows. Entries accepted from producers, platforms, distributors or talent.
A look back at 2025: an unforgettable night
The 64th Rose d’Or Awards, held on December 1, 2025 at King’s Place in London, celebrated outstanding international creativity, bringing together finalists, judges and industry leaders from around the world.
A standout moment of the evening was the success of Netflix’s Adolescence, which emerged as one of the biggest winners, taking home multiple honours including the Drama Award, Emerging Talent and the coveted Golden Rose.
The series was recognised by judges as “an extraordinary achievement that reframed storytelling around a vital contemporary issue.” Jack Thorne, co-creator of Adolescence, delivered a powerful acceptance speech that resonated with audiences worldwide.
