Hazel Pleysier

Hazel Pleysier is a TV producer and director who graduated from the Royal Institute for Theatre, Cinema, and Sound (RITCS) in Brussels. At the age of 23 she started her career at Woestijnvis, a prominent Flemish production company. She quickly made a name for herself in the industry. As head of content (since 2014) Hazel has been instrumental in the creation of numerous successful TV formats. Woestijnvis portfolio showcases her versatility across a wide range of genres, including entertainment formats (‘The Smartest Person’, ‘The Mole’), sport shows, factual comedy (‘The Ideal World’, ‘Man Bites Dog’) and documentary series (‘The Court’, ‘Top Doctors’). Last year the Woestijnvis format ‘Justice in Jail’ won a Golden Rose, almost two decades after ‘The Mole’ (2004). A prove of consistency in the achievements of this small independent production company. With each project, Hazel Pleysier keeps pushing the creative boundaries of TV production, earning accolades and a dedicated audience along the way.
