In his role as Head of TV, Johan is responsible for the three Finnish TV channels at Yle. His main target is to find ways for the linear channels to strengthen the strategically important VOD player Yle Areena in the best possible way.
Johan is also responsible for the Languages and localizations department, where most of Yle’s accessibility services are produced. He also leads Yle’s festival committee. Johan has almost 20 years of experience in the media business and at the moment he is leading a team of about 55 people and a group of nearly 150 freelance translators.
