Loes Wormmeester has been occupied with making radio and television programs for many years. She has always seen children’s television / online content as a field where one is able to transmit a message of importance, something to share with a new generation. Her programs have won many awards including the International Emmy Award (New York), Prix Jeunesse (Munich), the Golden Dragon (Beijing), the Eureka Awards for best Dutch Science program (Amsterdam), Science Film Festival Award (Thailand) IDFA Award (Amsterdam) Mo&Friese Mo Award (Hamburg) Cinema in Sneakers The Main Prize (Poland), Olympia International Film Festival (Greece), the public’s prize De Gouden Stuiver (Netherlands), the Golden Cinekid Award and the Golden Cinekid Jury Award (Amsterdam).
She is currently working as Commissioning Editor and Program developer for NTR Public Television in the Netherlands.
In 2011 Loes Wormmeester received a Lifetime achievement Award: The Golden Cinekid Lion, for her work in Television.
