Panagiotis Trakaliaridis is head of format research and program development at Germany’s most watched TV Channel ZDF. Currently he is also part of the digital and non-linear transformation of the pubcaster, encouraging new ways of storytelling through social formats for a young and diverse demographic. Panagiotis also is head of the EBU’s Format core group and trainer at ARD/ZDF-Medienakademie for format development.
Trakaliaridis started his career in the early 90’s as a freelance local journalist while being a student for media business. After a few years with commercial broadcasters of the RTL Group he is with ZDF for nearly 25 years now, where he began as a scheduler and developed to a strategic program developer.
