Pernille Munk Skydsgaard is the founder of production and distribution company 41Shadows and arthouse streaming platform FilmLounge. With more than 25 years of experience in the industry, she has distributed over 40 prize winning feature films for 41shadows and produced feature films and TV shows for 41shadows as well as for Meta Film, SAM Productions and Drive Studios and co-produced with the Oscar nominated Belgian company Savage Films. Her CV also includes Head of Distribution at the Danish Film Institute. She is now in charge of handling rights internationally as Executive Director for DR Sales.
She holds a BA in Economics (Copenhagen University) and a Master of Arts Degree in Film and Media Science (Copenhagen University), is an EAVE producer and has studied at UCLA. In 2023 she received the Nordic Council Prize for best feature film as producer.
